Product Web & Database Owner

Service: Product Listing, Order Processing

Are you searching for a highly organised, technically skilled, and proactive Product Web & Database Owner? This role serves as the central point of ownership for product database and web merchandising. Responsibilities include managing product data integrity, publishing stock information online, coordinating with internal teams (such as sales, warehouse, and purchasing), and ensuring that our online presence—on Shopify and potentially other channels—accurately reflects real-time inventory and product details.

Key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Maintain and manage the internal product database (master data) to ensure all product information, including descriptions, dimensions, SKUs, stock levels, pricing, and images, is accurate and up to date.
  • Publish and update product listings on the website (e.g., Shopify) and any other online platforms being used.
  • Monitor stock levels and regularly liaise with warehouse and purchasing teams to keep the online catalog in sync with actual inventory, including what is in stock, what is out of stock, and expected restocks.
  • Manage merchandising by organising product categories, ensuring correct online presentation (images, descriptions, categorisation), and optimising product visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, purchasing, warehouse, marketing) to coordinate product launches, stock updates, and maintain data consistency.
  • Use Excel and/or other tools to generate reports and data exports, such as stock reports, sales versus availability, reorder suggestions, and catalog audits.
  • Troubleshoot any database and web data issues to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality.
  • Assist with continuous improvements by proposing process enhancements for data workflows, stock management, web merchandising, or database structure as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with any relevant data governance or quality standards within the business.
